“My Little Monster” is based on manga series “Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun” by Robico.

The film is about Haru Yoshida (Masaki Suda), a high school student who is viewed as a introverted child with an unpredictable behavior. Shizuku Mizutani (Tao Tsuchiya) is a high school studious student. Haru Yoshida and Shizuku Mizutani sit next to each other in a classroom. A small thing causes Haru Yoshida to have feelings for Shizuku and then confesses his feelings towards her.

The film is directed by Sho Tsukikawa.

Genre film “Train To Busan’ director back with new movie “Psychokinesis”

The hit genre film “Train To Busan’ director Yeon Sang-Ho is back with an upcoming film “Psychokinesis” starring Ryoo Seung-Ryong and Shim Eun-Kyung.

The film follows a father named Suk-Hun, played by Ryoo Seung-Ryong, who happens to gain a supernatural power. He tries to save his daughter Roo-Mi played by Shim Eun-Kyung after she gets involved in an unexpected accident.

Movie is the second live-action film by Yeon Sang-Ho and will be released February, 2018 in South Korea.

Haru Kuroki, Shuhei Nomura as leads in new film “Biburia Koshodo no Jiken Techo”

Actors Haru Kuroki and Shuhei Nomura starred in the upcoming film “Biburia Koshodo no Jiken Techo.”

Haru Kuroki plays Shioriko Shinokawa, an introvert, but her knowledge is expansive and she can’t stop talking about her interests. Shuhei Nomura will play Daisuke Goura, a clerk at the bookstore owned by Shioriko Shinokawa.

The movie is based on the novel series “Biblia Koshodo no Jiken Techou” novels written by En Mikami. Similarly, the 2013 Fuji TV drama series “Antiquarian Bookshop Biblia’s Case Files,” starring Ayame Gouriki and Akira, is also based on the same novel series.

Movie is directed by Yukiko Mishima and will be released in 2018 in Japan.

Takayuki Yamada and Masami Nagasawa as leads in remake film “50th First Kiss”

Actors Takayuki Yamada and Masami Nagasawa are cast in the remake film “50th First Kiss” (literal title).

The film is a remake of 2004 U.S. film “50 First Dates” starring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore.  The filming for “50th First Kiss” took place in Hawaii and finished in about a month.

“50th First Kiss” is about Takayuki Yamada, a tour guide named Daisuke Yuge. He falls in love with Rui Fujishima (Masami Nagasawa) on fist sight, but Rui Fujishima though suffers from memory loss due to a past accident.

Movie will be directed by Yuichi Fukuda and will be shown in theaters on June 1, 2018 in Japan.

Teaser for upcoming movie “Revenge Girl” starring Mirei Kiritani and Nobuyuki Suzuki is already out!
“Revenge Girl” has Mirei Kiritani playing Miki Takaraishi, a smart and beautiful 24-year-old woman, but her personality is not as good. She falls in love with Yuga Saito (Sho Kiyohara) who is handsome and comes from a politician family. They see each other romantically, but Yugo Saito dumps Miki Takaraishi. To get revenge on Yuga Saito, she decides to run for prime minister. For her election campaign, she hires Toshiya Kadowaki (Nobuyuki Suzuki) as her campaign strategist.
Movie is based on 2017 novel “Revenge Girl” by Erika Yoshida.
“Revenge Girl” will air on December 23, 2017 in Japan.

Character posters for upcoming movie “The Swindlers”

The upcoming film “The Swindlers” has released 6 character posters of its main cast: Hyun-Bin, Yoo Ji-Tae, Bae Sung-Woo, Park Sung-Woong, An Se-Ha and Nana (‘After School’).

“The Swindlers” is about a group of swindlers: Ji-Sung (Hyun-Bin), an intelligent swindler who only deceives fellow swindlers. To catch Jang Doo-Chil, he forms a plan. He first recruits Prosecutor Hee-Soo (Yoo Ji-Tae) and then other swindlers Suk-Dong (Bae Sung-Woo), Choon-Ja (Nana) and Chief Kim (An Se-Ha). They throw bait at Jang Doo-Chil’s right-hand man Seung-Gun (Park Sung-Woong).

“The Swindlers” opens November 22, 2017 in South Korea.

Haru Kuroki cast as lead in new movie “Nichinichikorekojitsu”

Actress Haru Kuroki is cast as the lead actress in upcoming movie “Nichinichikorekojitsu” alongside Kirin Kiki and Mikako Tabe, for supporting roles.

“Nichinichikorekojitsu” follows the story a college age girl named Noriko, played by Haru Kuroki, who begins taking lessons on the Japanese tea ceremony.  By her mother’s recommendation, Noriko begins attending the Japanese tea ceremony near her house with her cousin Michiko (Mikako Tabe). There, Noriko learns from Teacher Takeda (Kirin Kiki).

Movie is based on the essay “Nichinichikorekojitsu: Ocha ga Oshietekureta 15 no Shiawase” by Noriko Morishita  and directed by Tatsushi Omori.

“Nichinichikorekojitsu” will be released sometime next year in Japan.

Teaser poster and stills released for upcoming live-action film “River’s Edge”

The upcoming live-action film “River’s Edge” starring Fumi Nikaido and Ryo Yoshizawa, recently released its teaser poster and movie stills online.

The film focuses on Haruna Wakagusa (Fumi Nikaido) a high school student who lives with her mother. Haruna’s classmate, Ichiro Yamada (Ryo Yoshizawa) is gay and is bullied at school, but Haruna sticks up for Ichiro. They become intimate and Ichiro tells Haruna his secret. He found a dead body along the riverside.

Movie is based on manga series “River’s Edge” by Kyoko Okazaki and directed by Isao Yukisada.

“River’s Edge” will be released February, 2018 in Japan.

TEASER: “Honey”

The new live-action film “Honey” starring Sho Hirano and Yuna Taira has recently released its teaser trailer.
The film follows the story of Nao Kogure (Yuna Taira), a shy and cute high school student. One day, Taiga Onise (Sho Hirano) asks her “would you like to date with me on the promise that we will get married?” Nao Kogure is unable to turn down his proposal, because she is scared of him. Taiga has red hair and piercing eyes. His appearance gives off the impression that he is a bad boy, but he is actually considerate to others and good at cooking. After getting to know Taiga Onise, Nao Kogure begins to have feelings for him.
“Honey” is based on manga series “Honey” by Amu Meguro and directed by Koji Shintoku (“Peach Girl“).
“Honey” opens March 31, 2018 in Japan.
